Everyday stuff

Today I broke the eye of a frog. True, but an odd sentence.

Helping SCRAP www.scrapaction.org move from 3901A N. Williams to 2915 N.E. MLK Blvd, I was hauling a frog sculpture made of bubble wrap when the little red wagon attached to my big trailer jack-knifed. One of the eyes of said frog was broken, revealing it's origins: a light bulb. Repair of SCRAPpy art is another item on my to do list.

SCRAP is one of the biggest happies in my life: a reuse art and conservation center. Their new digs are well located on NE MLK where folks who might not venture into N/NE Portland are seemingly comfortable. Just a few blocks north of the Nike Outlet Store.

One last SCRAPpy thing in my life: On Tuesday I'll begin my new term of teaching SCRAPpy arts. The victims (students) are all kindergarten or first graders from James John School. I've gotten materials together and am just now deciding on an appropriate project that will use fabric scraps.
